After School Classes

Te Tuhi engages skilled tutors who are practicing artists and experts in their field to teach children's classes. We have a range of classes to encourage and stimulate children from the age of 5yrs.

Working in a professional studio situation and in a safe environment, the children are given individual support and feedback, recognising their unique skills and differences. We limit the number of students per tutor to ensure the quality of our classes, so it is essential to book in advance.

Ben and Ellie

With the support of Huckleberry Farms, Natural Foods Supermarkets, we are excited to introduce a series of classes on health and nutrition, educating and empowering people to make better food choices.

Over 5 weeks, children will be introduced to fun ways of preparing healthy foods using only wholesome, fresh ingredients. The course will empower children with the knowledge to make the right food choices and provide them with the practical skills to build strong bodies and healthy immune systems.

Children will be encouraged to keep a food diary and make notes and record recipes so they can duplicate them at home. They will also become a food label detectives, learning how to decipher the nutritional information on food packaging.

The course will emphasise the importance of organics and whole foods, and is taught by Dee and Tamarin Pigneguy, authors of 'Feed Me Right'.  At the conclusion of the course we will take a trip to the Huckleberry Farms Natural Foods Supermarket, parents welcome.
