The Nanette Cameron School of Interior Design

During its 40 year history, the Nanette Cameron School of Interior Design has instilled an understanding and appreciation of design in more than four thousand students.  The quality of the two year part time course is well recognised throughout the design industry.

If you are looking to renovate your home, find new furnishings for your bedroom, or looking at increasing your interior design knowledge through professional development, this course teaches you the principles of design.  Nanette Cameron invites her students to use their imagination and see interior design as more than colour and carpets, but as a philosophical way of life.

The course philosophy is to broaden the cultural background of students and provide the skills, knowledge and confidence to create beautiful, personal and satisfying home environments.

The Nanette Cameron School of Interior Design | Full Course Duration

The course is part-time and consists of two year-long stages and an optional third year. All stages are one year in duration and students begin classes in February. Stage Two may also be undertaken as term modules, enabling students to join a class throughout the year. Please note that year-long students get preferential enrolment over module-only students. In order to secure a place in a class you must enroll for the full year. We limit the number of students to ensure the quality of classes so it is essential to book in advance.

Contact hours are two and a half hours per week. Daytime or evening classes are available. Classes are run in accordance with the four year school term, each being 9 weeks in length.

Contact Te Tuhi Centre for the Arts if you would like to enrol for 2012.
